Second Shoot

15:45

Here in my second shoot I wanted to capture some more of my flatmates going about their everyday routines, such as here, drinking a cup of tea. I positioned my model in front of the window to capture the sun going down behind her. This was the only aspect of the image which I got involved with, I told my model to act as though I wasn't there, to try and maintain my outsiders position.

Even though these images were taken from behind glass there are no reflections so this isn't obvious and therefore my outsiders position has been compromised.

This was my favourite image from the shoot.  At first glance I like the shallow depth of focus as this gives quite an intimate feel to the shot. However in context, this is not the feel at all that I want to achieve in my work. The only aspect of an outsiders approach I have here is the non engagement between subject and camera, and therefore, I don't believe this shoot is a true representation of my purpose for this project.
